Hoewel onweetenheijt niet seer en is te prijsen
Nochtans men die verschoont. maar ijder heeft afgrijsen
Van die (t' sij hun) wel beter weeten, en niet doen.
Verdreijen t' goede, jae de waerheijt: om te voen
Haer giericheijt vervloeckt. wie soude die niet haten!
O doemelycke sondt! O boose Appostaeten!
Ghij die v Godt versaeckt, gheloof en salicheyt,
Besmet de werelt met Pracht en hovaerdicheijt. translation

Simple ignorance aucuns encor' excusent,
Mais ceste-cy crasse et malitieuse,
Crasse la dy, de ce mot duquel usent
Les anciens, pour la rendre odieuse.
Des apostats est ceste vitieuse
Le vray pourtraict. Car pour remplir leur panse
Reiettans Christ, font sa voix tenebreuse,
