CONCRESCIT AMOR MOTV.translationtranslation
Plutarch.
Quemadmodùm lac coagulo concrescit: sic
amantes vnum fiunt Amore.translationtranslation

Mouing maketh vniting.
The milk beeing mou ed long his nature seemes to leaue,
And in another kynd is vnto vnion broght,
Right so two louers myndes may not in one bee wroght,
Before the louer first repulses do receaue.

s’Vnisce Amor col moto.
Come s’vnisce il latte ben battuto,
E il denso suo liquor diuien migliore:
Cosi si giunge col suo oggetto Amore,
Dopo vn lungo penar, dopo il rifiuto.

’t Beroeren vereenight.

Translations

Liefde stremt door beweging.
Love is curdled when moved. [Moving makes love united].
[Plutarchus] Like milk is brought into union by coagulation, lovers are united by love.
