Die dickmaels onvoorsiens v schijnen te bespringen.
Als ongheluck v treft en t'quaet sich tot v haest,
Seght dan, ghy doet het Godt dies ben ick niet verbaast

Godt weet wat ons nutst is door sijn voorsienicheden.)
De heijlighe man Jop, die was daer me vervult
Patroon en spiegel van waerachtich sterck gedult. translation

Ie ne tien point cas fortuits les maux
Qu'on void souuent assaillir la personne:
Car l'affligé doit dire en tous assaux,
C'est toy, Seigneur, donc point ie ne m'estonne.
Au coeur Chrestien la foy cecy raisonne
Que Dieu fait tout par sa grand' prouidence.
