XXXVIII.
Godts Liefde geeft de ware veiligheit.

ZOo veiligh in myn Liefstens armen
Wete ik van rampen nogh van kermen.
My kan geen vleiery,
Gewelt, nogh doot, nogh wat het zy,
Door d'ooren
Bekoren,
Geen zwaert rukt me uit zyn hant,
Hy blyft myn onderpant.
Laet weereltlingen woelen, slaven,
En om een ydlen naem van Braven
Geen hachelyken kans
Ontzien, of om den flikkerglans
Van kroonen
En troonen,
Zich wagen in den strydt
Uit heerzucht of uit nydt;
De doot staet klaer met haren zeissen
En komt de ziel ontydigh eischen.
Maer ik, in Jezus schoot
Ter goeder uure uit allen noodt
Geveiligt,
Geheiligt,
Beluister stil en stom
Myn trouwen Bruidegom.

Amoris securitas.
